DESCRIPTION:

Rachel Contracting’s new 18,500 sq. ft. shop in St. Michael, MN is officially up and running, and it’s a hydronic masterpiece. FourMation Sales had the privilege of working with Legend Mechanical on the Uponor system design for this impressive facility.

The building features Uponor in-floor heating with multiple zones covering the office, shop, and wash bay for optimal comfort and efficiency. A 300 sq. ft. Uponor snowmelt system was installed outside the wash bay to ensure smooth operation during the harshest Minnesota winters. Uponor’s pre-insulated large-dimension piping was strategically routed beneath the floor slab, eliminating the need for overhead hangers and saving both labor and time.

The mechanical room is a standout, equipped with IBC SL 40-399 boilers on a multiplex rack, Armstrong pumps, and Apollo ball valves—testament to the craftsmanship and attention to detail from the team at Legend Mechanical.
